Once Again, Think!

Writer's Note: As you can see by the post dates, I took most of 2018 off. I focused more on my fiction writing and less on commenting about the current state of our world. However, I felt it was necessary to finally get some of these thoughts/comments/opinions out there for all to see. Here's one from last year.

Additional Writer's Note: Today's entry is courtesy of my alter ego - Mr. Snarky.

Mr. Snarky is just that: snarky. Snide, cruel, cutting, extremely critical. All words that describe Mr. Snarky and - at times - me. Unforgiving is another apt description. I just don't get how some people navigate through life without falling off a cliff.

Anyway, the following rant is from Mr. Snarky. Enjoy.

August 12, 2018 - Once again an acquaintance of mine puts The Post on her Facebook timeline. You know The Post. Everyone has seen The Post. Unfortunately, many of you have put The Post on your own timelines. You should be ashamed.

How many times have FB friends and acquaintances warned you that The Post is not true? How many times have you seen the links - This is a hoax! - from legitimate news sources?

This is not real. STOP posting it. Scammers and hackers are now using it to troll FB users.

My favorite part of the hoax is the Copy and Paste instructions at the bottom. Really? That's how computer systems work? You just copy and paste a screen image and Voila! it updates an entire platform's inner workings? Wow! That's so easy!

Not quite.

No, Facebook is not restricting the content you see on your News Feed to just 25 or 26 friends.

Per Business Insider (August 8, 2018)

Think! It's really not hard to do..... Mr. Snarky is done, for now.
